Andrew's Birthday ~ December 31st
Andrew celebrated his big day by having a pancake breakfast in Gatlinburg, followed by a day of race car driving at NASCAR Speedpark. It was a beautiful & warm day - for the end of December. We came home and had cake & ice cream. We will have his family birthday party next week with his cousin Sean, who has a January birthday. Since Andrew's birthday is only ONE week after Christmas - we always have his party "with friends" in June, on his HALF birthday!

Happy New Years Eve!
Today is Andrew's 8th birthday! We are going to spend to day with him today and do "whatever he wants to do" ~ Should be interesting..... I will post more pics of his big day later this evening. Have a Happy New Years Eve everyone!

Andrew's Awards day
Today is the last day of the 1st Semester of school. I can't believe the year is half over already! The second grade classes (all 16 of them) - had their Awards assembly this morning. Andrew got the award for "Character Counts" in his class and one for "Good Citizenship."

Second grade Christmas Party
Today was Andrew's Christmas party at school. His teacher Ms. Wiley bought the entire class matching t shirts. Their class theme this year is ~ Sunny Days in Second grade!

The Penny is out!
Emma Grace swallowed a penny on Monday morning. I called her pediatrician to see what to do. They said to make sure it came out within 3 days, yesterday was the 3rd day & still no penny. When I called back to tell them it had not come out yet - they said she would have to have an abdominal X-ray if it didn't "show up" by Friday. We prayed for this penny to "arrive" and it finally did @11:45 this morning! HOORAY! Hopefully she learned a lesson from all this!

Boys & backyard football
Morgan and Andrew love to tackle each other in the backyard. It usually doesn't end until someone gets hurt - usually blood! Today it was Andrew who got the busted lip, but they don't care - boys WILL be boys!!
VIsiting with Santa at the ZOO
Emma Grace and I went to see Santa this morning at the Zoo. She got to sit on his lap, make a wreath & decorate a cookie. The boys didn't want to go :( They stayed home with dad and built some shelves in our garage.
