3yr old Sunday school class

I worked back in Children's church this morning. Emma Grace enjoys seeing and playing with her friends from church. We had to get one more wear out of our WHITE sandals, tomorrow is Labor day!! :)

It's FOOTBALL time!!

Morgan is playing his 7th season of Football this year. He LOVES it ~ and we do too! They had their 1st "regular season" game this morning against West. They tied them 6-6. He has a Jamboree this evening at Carter High. He is playing with all his 8th grade buddies this year. Bennie, Keegan, Matt, Randy, Will, Hayden & Chase. This will be their last year all playing together - next year they will spilt up into different high schools!!

Emma Grace's 1st day of Pre school!!

The BIG day has finally arrived! Today was Emma Grace's 1st day of Pre School. She has been so excited about packing her lunch box and carrying a backpack just like the boys. She walked right in like a big girl this morning, found her name on the cubby and found her name again at her seat. She really did great, better than mommy that's for sure! :)

Emma Grace starts Pre school next week

This evening we went to Beaver Ridge UMC where Emma Grace will be attending Pre School for the first time. It is hard to believe that my "baby" is now three years old and in Pre School. Next Tuesday is her first day. Every time I hear this song "In my arms" on the radio, I think of her. I dread the hard times that she will face in this world and pray everyday that my children will grow up trusting in and loving the Lord. I love the verse ~ I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. 111 John 4.
~It is so hard to let my baby grow up.

Back to School treats!

I saw this cupcake idea in my Sept. issue of Family Fun magazine. I decided to make them for the kids. We shared the rest with our carpool buddies for this school year! Horray for Back to School time!!

Promotion Sunday at Sevier Heights Baptist Church

Today was Promotion Sunday at church. All the kids moved up to their New Sunday School class for this upcoming year. Emma Grace is now in the "3 year old class". Here is a picture of her with Mr. Ed, one of her new teachers and some of her friends!
The boys also went into new classes, but I didn't attempt to make their pics. :)

We finally found a Dance Studio for Emma to take Ballet. She has been just so excited about this for weeks now. It was so cute watching them. She is taking ballet with her little friend Sydney Ford, also 3 years old. they have become great buddies over the summer, and they both love to dance!

KMA summer Art program

Andrew & his friend Aaron Skeen both received scholarships for the 2008 Knoxville Museum of Art Summer youth Art Program. They attended all week long and learned lots about different mediums of art. They already say they want to go back next summer!
