We took a quick trip to Destin, Florida last week. It was so nice to just get away for a few days and enjoy the ocean and beach together as a family. It seems that once school starts we are always so busy and going our separate ways - especially during football season ( which has already started.) We had perfect weather and the beach was just beautiful. The sand on the gulf coast is so soft and perfect for building sand castles. We love the Gulf and have been to Panama City several times in the past , but now have unanimously decided we all like Destin the best. Morgan & John both got stung by jelly fish, but it wasn't bad. We all enjoyed eating out at different restaurants . Andrew swam all the way across the outdoor pool for the 1st time! Emma loved everything. This was actually her 1st time to play in the ocean and on the beach. We thank God for "family time" and the opportunity to have a few days together.

We LOVE Destin as well. We already went to the beach back in May when Chad had leave from this deployment(*sniff,sniff). I wish we could go again right now!LoL...Family time is such a precious thing when your kids get older and have SO many things going on as we both know. Glad you all were able to get away and have a great beach trip before school starts!~Great Pics~
i am so happy that you all had a great time at the beach. we love that area too. i guess it is time to start thinking about school now, huh?
