FRESH from the Garden!

My mom picked everything you see on this plate this morning and cooked it for  dinner  this evening! She also made some hot cornbread & sweet tea. YUM YUM! It was sooooooo good. You can't get any more FRESH than that!  One thing I always look forward to every summer is my dad's garden. He always plants corn, okra, green beans, tomatoes, onion, peppers and cucumbers. Sometimes other things too - but those are the usual. The boys  always enjoy  helping him plant and pick.  This year Emma helped plant too. She also planted some sunflower seeds that will hopefully produce some big sunflowers later this fall.
